Newness

Mon Jan 19, 2009, 7:25 PM
New year new pics. :)

I am no good at this journal stuff. I've never been very good at talking about myself much.

The sunrise pictures I added are from last October at the jersey shore (ship bottom nj on long beach island). It was one of the few sunrises we had this past autumn.

The two winter ones are from this past week in central Ohio. Been shoveling alot of snow. The two pics are just from the first day of snow.

Peace

Happy Birthday to me

:cake:

Okay, I'm a day early. It's tomorrow. :D

Got a little something to play with from my friend Swannie so I got a three month subscription to dA to try out all the bells and whistles and see if I should start saving to join for a full year.

Wish I knew CSS to make a nice journal. lol But I don't even understand html and I've yet to figure out how to work with frontpage.

Well, I have a bit of time to figure it all out.

Word Search

Sat Feb 16, 2008, 6:31 PM
This comes from Moonbeam13's [link] journal (she got it from someone else who got it from someone else and so on and so on).

I love her word searches for finding deviant art on site. Just looking at hers has shown me stuff I'd never had seen without it. So I wanted to try this questionaire search to see what I came up with.

Since I've no subscription yet, I have to link to the art I find.

RULES:
1) Answer the questions below
2) Take each answer and type it into dA search box
3) Take a deviation from the first page of results (may use ' popular' or 'newest' ) and post thumb (for subscribers) or link (non-subscribers)
4) You can't copy the persons answers who posted this before you

False Positive

Thu Jan 24, 2008, 4:57 PM
Following up to my journal yesterday.

Everything is good.
My father is fine. His arteries are fine and dandy. The stress test was a false positive. His blood pressure is mildly high and his aortic valve has some calcification (but looks to be opening and closing fine). So the doc will reccommend to the gp that he get an ecocardiogram.

It was a long day. Got to the hospital at 9am for my mother's appointment. (All is well with her too. Her mri and cat scan follow up to her kidney operation last year was all clear as were all her other tests this month. Yay!) Then my father got the time wrong for his test. He said he was supposed to be there at 11:00 but he didn't need to be there until 12:30 for a 1:30 test. BUT - he didn't get the test until 3:30. Ugh. Alot of waiting and waiting and not having anything to eat or drink (Dad couldn't and we didn't want to eat or drink infront of him). It was over in 1/2 hour (no time to eat or drink lol) and then we had to wait until 6:15 before they would let him go.

Finally home and fed (Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich, fries and a frosty yum!) and all is well.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. Truly the best of all possible outcomes for everything.
