Seems my journal here ends up more about the stress of my parent's illnesses than about my art.

My father will be 78 the end of February.
He's never had a stress test.

My mom and I got their gp to finally get him to get one. Not easy. My father always just says 'I'm fine'.

He had one today.
He met us for lunch afterwards (I couldn't go with him as mom also had a doctor's appointment) and said he was told there was an anomoly and also where the anomoly was there was often a false positive and that he would let his gp know and the gp would get back to him about more tests.

Before my dad even got home there was a message on the phone from the gp saying the stress test doctor said dad's arteries were severely abnormal and he needed to get a heart catherization tomorrow. Dad is, besides being surprised and scared (they are moving very fast), pretty pissed off at being lied to by the stress test doctor.

So, mom has another doctor's appointment tomorrow at 9:15 am at the hospital. My dad has to be there at 11:30am for registration for his heart cath. And he may or may not be home tomorrow depending on how bad it really is. And it's supposed to snow overnight into tomorrow morning. I hate driving in snow.

Not exactly how any of us thought the end of this week was going to go.

Think good thoughts for both my parents please. That everything is well and if it's not, that it can be taken care of and will be well again.
